PC Computer
 

The PC in this room now requires that you login using your UT-EID and password. After selecting the PC from the touchscreen you will see the following screen.

Dell Optiplex GX150 equipped with a floppy, a Zip and DVD/CD-ROM Drive. The operating system is Windows XP.

After moving the mouse a login box will appear at the bottom of the screen. Please enter your UT-EID and password in this box.

Following your use of the computer the harddrive will be automatically rebuilt and any information saved on the drive will be lost. To avoid losing data please remember to make a personal copy of your files. There is a link to Webspace on the desktop so that you may save your files in your personal Webspace account.

Before you leave the workstation you must end your session by logging out. If you fail to log out others could use your account and you will be responsible for any charges incurred.

To logout, select "Log Out" from the UT-LabMan icon menu on the task bar.

The user drive is for faculty use. ITS staff will make every effort to leave it untouched. You may save files there at your own risk. However, the C:, or system, drive is effectively wiped and replaced every time you log out of the computer. Any changes you make will not be there next time you log-in.

If you require a particular software application please contact the Help Desk for installation constraints.
